The charts in Dynamics 365 supports four different types of colors and 12 different system color palettes, outside of the custom palette that Dynamics 365 uses by default in its charts.
In this video I’ll go through how to work with those four different types of colors in the Advanced Chart Editor plugin for the XrmToolBox. The video also demonstrates how to add your own custom color palette to the tool so you can easily apply your company branded palette to your charts.
A video introducing the Advanced Chart Editor tool for the XrmToolBox can be found here.

Hi Ulrik,
Your new tool is great..!
I have some additional info on colors..
I’ve been working with charts in the Dynamics 365 App for iPad/phones.
The app doesn’t support hex. The only colorcode I’ve found working is standard RGB. Otherwise you get Black charts in the App.
Hi Lars,
Thanks for sharing. I was aware that the mobile app imposed its own limitations to the charts, but good to know you can still work with the standard RGB colors.
I do not see the option to open the visual editor… has the Advanced Chart Editor changed?
